AMFI asks for a new vote on trail commission issue by email
AMFI asks for a new vote on trail commission issue by email December 22, 2009 07:54 PM Debashis Basu
So now AMFI is acting like SEBI by bringing in voting (hope the decision on this does not go the away like what SEBI did for entry load abolishment) on a issue which may not be so easily solved by voting. There are lot of things which has to be taken into account.
Let us do some partical talking here (hope it does not turn controversial). Earlier it was a known sceret that HNI clients gave big ticket business only after taking a major part of the distributors fee. The national distributors and even big ditributors gave away most of their earnings to get big business. They did this with a firm belief that they will be able to make good the amount by their Trial and may be some additionals they may get from AMC's. The HNI's are also a shrewd lot who try to change the broker after a commitment from the new broker to pass back a portion of their trial. So the existing broker looses out on both ends, and ends up burning his pocket very badly. I dont know whether the AMFI/AMC's consider these aspects while taking a decision on such issues. Yes rebating is not to be done, but let us be practical and let AMC/AMFI take a decision after taking into account such possibilities. Iam sure this will be the major hurdle for most of the big distributors.
I also here from bigger cities that there are a clan of distributors who approach HNI's with a request to transfer their investment to them for a small fee (sharing their trial). Is this a way to increase one's business, I only request our community to maintain some morality and decorum in doing business. Everyone of us are here to do business and earn let us not kill each other by these unscrouplous ways.
Kindly do pass on this message to our community and make everyone aware of such unscrouplous elements.
